The purpose of this AC is to provide the entire Canadian aviation community with a glossary of aeronautical terms and definitions used by Canadian pilots, controllers and flight service specialists in order to avoid misunderstandings between them and contribute to the continued efficiency and safety of the air navigation system (ANS).This AC on its own does not change, create, amend or permit deviations from regulatory requirements, nor does it establish minimum standards. ![]() It describes an example of an acceptable means, but not the only means, of demonstrating compliance with regulations and standards.
