Just looking for any advice on where to go next on this one. I was able to get a copy of the customs form/address/package info that would normally be in a SAL Small Packet from the sender, if that helps at all. I've also contacted the sender and they're going to check with the Japan Post, but I'm also thinking there isn't much that can be done on that since it was in my local post office and scanned to be set for delivery. although I don't know how that might work if the form was damaged since all of that info is located in the same general area.ĭo I have any other options at this point? I've put in a lost mail search at the USPS website but don't have high hopes for that. When I called again he said the carrier didn't remember any package and that if they weren't able to deliver it, say if something happened to the delivery address, that they probably returned it to the sender. Tried calling back again a week later and got a different guy who said the same thing and didn't call me back. The supervisor said they'd talk with the carrier and call me back later (never happened). I've tried calling the post office and they've said they have no packages in the back. I'm a bit distressed regarding this package now since I haven't gotten any updates on it. Try: Im sure youre busy, but have you had a chance to do X We need it by Y because/its holding up progress on Z. It's a SAL Small Packet shipment from Japan, so normally these come with a sealed clear plastic envelope containing the customs form with the address/addressee and tracking barcode on it. If its not just a nag, terse 'status update' requests often imply that there isnt a good ongoing dialog and human- or professional-interest in the project being enquired after. I never had anyone arrive at my place on that day to drop off the package (requires a signature), and then it went into this not been updated status and has been stuck there since. It seems that my package might have been lost to the void. The delivery status for this item has not been updated as of December 22, 2017, 11:17 pm.ĭecember 22, 2017, 9:17 am Out for Delivery December 22, 2017, 11:17 pm Delivery status not updated
